The reader-response approach of The Tell Tale heart

The Reader-Response approach varies between different ages and probably over time in general.

For example, an interpretation of the story could be that Poe wants to prove that he’s not insane by referring to an event that could actually happen in real life, another one (my personal one) could be that he actually committed the crime and he reinterpreted it in a short story (that would be creepy, but I mean it’s still a possibility), or from the different opinions I read on the internet, Poe just thought of this creepy story and it’s straight from his imagination. So each one of us understands the story in our own way, and we can link it to some of our Theory of knowledge topics like perception and we could say that the reader-response approach of The Tell-Tale Heart varies from the different perception of the reader(s), (so ‘reader-response approach’ literally refers to perception).

This is what I understood, then I have no idea if it’s right lol
